Over the past few days the Custard TR7 has developed a knock from the engine. After some expert advice from AO it pointed to the fuel pump and me tightening the bolts. Today I decided to investigate more and loosened the fuel pump bolts, still the knock was apparent. I checked the tappets to find all was good less one. After removal of the camshaft I found the culprit. The rear cam follower is flipping about. Looks like it's been sticking and worn away. Hopefully the head is ok.

So bit the bullet, sold the kids, although they seem to have come back, and brought a ready to fit head. £400. Turned up today via mr courier who definitely wasn't British and sounded like Harry Enfields character "Hello Peeps".
Found another one locally and was dropped off at the weekend, said needed refurbishment. Only problem is IB Engineering dont want to repair it as welder is off. Also work will be costly
Well the knock came back, the head is beyond repair. Due to the design of the head fixing lady luck needs to be on your side to remove it. She is smiling, head off, just need to find another one.
I knew I had some spares, fitted one for now and knock seems to have gone, will take it for a drive over the weekend.
